I felt like I heard somewhere 616 is the mark of man and 666 is the mark of the beast

I think the real secret people don't understand is that due to how complex number systems and language gets trying to translate ancient to current is that, 666 could actually be the representation of the mark, but what we see as numbers now could symbolize something else we won't see until it's time to take the mark

i dont believe in numerology or gematria but i always thought it was interesting that if you add 1 though 36 together sequentially you end up with 666

1+2+3+4+5[...]+35+36 = 666

no telling how they thought that up anyways... this is before algebra was invented... were they even using base-10 mathematics? cos i know the sumerians used base-60 to invent timekeeping
