The best parts is when the neuroscientist in the black shirt spoke, everything he said was so true. I took what I needed from the doc and paid no attention the extreme crap, like living in that tiny ass house or only having 4 shirts 
Yeah.....they were too extreme at times but...they did say a few times....even if you buy 100s of books or any item you love, as long as it holds value to YOU then that's good. But basically don't waste money on random shyt to keep up with the jones...or just to stunt etc.

When I read minimalist the first thing i thought about was the literary/artistic minimalist movement. Dunno wtf this is aboutu srs?
Minimalism with material goods and space mostly. I'm sure you're aware of this tiny house phenomenon, it was people advocating for those and just getting rid of unnecessary stuff.
Obviously they were a bit overboard for me, but I like the concept and am going to try and implement some of the things. A friend of mine is kind of a minimalist. She said she won't give up clothing because she's really into fashion, but we shop thrift so money isn't normally an issue there. This is kind of one of the points as well, to just keep things that are valuable to you, and she values fashion. She's actually trying to start a capsule wardrobe which I would like to do too. I will say my friends house is cleaner, she has less clutter, less chores, and a smaller footprint. I'm trying to be like that. My place is full of junk I never even use.
I didn't finish the doc, but wanted to share a tip to help get rid of things you're unsure about.
Get two boxes for things you'd like to donate/sell, and one for things you're unsure about. Everything you're unsure about place in the box and keep it for a month or so depending on your needs. If you end up going to the box for things throughout the month, keep them. If not, get rid of it.
