'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' was released in 1998. It has sold 18 million copies worldwide. In 1999, Lauryn Hill became the first woman to win five Grammys.

Seventeen years after its debut, Lauryn Hill’s classic album The MisEducation of Lauryn Hill is still receiving its justified recognition, this time from the National Recording Registry.

It’s been announced, the Grammy-award winning record, which featured classic hits such as “Ex-Factor” and “Lost Ones” will be archived in the Library of Congress for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

Other albums in this year’s selection include Radiohead’s Ok Computer, Joan Baez self-titled record Joan Baez, a 1967 eponymous album from The Doors and Sly and The Family Stone’s 1969 record Stand.

Congrats to all the artist, but a special shout out to our girl, Lauryn Hill.
