These artists would much rather people actually buy their albums, than stream them.

Industry bullsh*t has tricked people into thinking streaming a lot means success for artists. Fake sh*t. The game needs to get back to selling actual records and units. This whole "they get streamed a lot" move is a scam for these companies. They're even trying to give out plaques for this sh*t, but no checks.

I’m sure the game will get right on that, right after they get back to building brick and mortar Blockbuster Video locations so we can go rent movies for the weekend

What exactly are you suggesting here?

A model where artists make actual bread for their work.

They're giving people fake ass plaques for streams now and telling people they're "platinum". But platinum now means no money. So all these wack metrics don’t really mean sh*t if the artists aren't making any real money from it. The game has gotten even more shady with the streaming sh*t.
