NEW YORK CITY — An East Orange woman who has overcome brutal childhood abuse at the hands of her father will share her experience during an episode of Katie Couric's daytime talk show "Katie" Monday morning.

Aziza Kibibi was first sexually abused by her father, Aswad Ayinde, at age eight, and was eventually impregnated by him five times, resulting in four children.

Ayinde kept Kibibi and her eight siblings mostly confined to their Paterson home, shielding them from nearly all outside influence — including school. television and friends.

The music video director, best known for his work on the Fugees' "Killing Me Softly" clip, told the family that he was a prophet and was following orders from God to keep his bloodline pure.

Authorities eventually caught up to Ayinde in 2006, and he is currently serving a 90-year sentence for the abuses against Kibibi and one of her sisters.

Since then, Kibibi has continued to raise the children she produced with her father, along with another son from a separate relationship. A daughter died in 2010 as a result of a disease brought on by the inbreeding.

She continues to work as a chef and pursue a communications degree, and plans to publish a memoir, tentatively titled "Unashamed" in the future. She was recently awarded a $10,000 grant toward her education by global women's organization Soroptomist.

Kibibi's episode of "Katie" is schedule to air today at 3 p.m. on ABC.

This happens more than people know, I've posted on here before about a guy I know who has (and still is) having sex with his mother for many years now.
