I don't believe the negative bullsh1t about black fathers because my father defies all of them all.

I was at the laundry mat last week & I saw a father with his young daughter. I was so captivated by it I'm afraid he caught me staring. But I was just thinking why can't the world stop saying black men don't do their jobs as fathers when there are tons who do; even when they aren't with their child's mother many of them still step up to the plate & do their job as fathers.

No one can deny that the best scenario will always be having both parents in the home. Regardless of how active a father is, it can never take the place of being in the home with the child everyday. However, it's still good that although a lot of black men do not live with their children, they are still playing as active a role as they can in their development which does help kill the stereotype of being a deadbeat.

We still should not keep allowing this situation to be the standard in our community. Two parent homes will always be greater.
