What difference does it make where they play? Why must they be in a big market? If they blew up in their respective spots so be it. Only with basketball fans does this even matter. Ain't nobody in the NFL thinking "man Aaron Rodgers is a beast. Why he gotta be in small ass Green Bay though?" People are way too concerned with this.

There's one big problem with that: Fans in those cities wanna win too.

shyts stupid as fukk, as long as those cities field competitive rosters and have fans that actually go to games i dont see the issue. shyt Miami one of the "non contraction" cities have two professional franchises that they dont even support.

If the media says it best believe there will be sheep repeating it. I remember people saying for years that Cleveland was too small for Lebron. I was like :childplease: he's one of the biggest stars in the league and in sports for that matter what does it matter where he plays?

Winning is completely dependent on draft luck and adroit front office maneuvering. The more teams you have the more less that stellar GMs you will have and the less likely each team is to get lucky in the lottery. There are only two good positions to be in in the NBA either competing for titles or sucking to the point where you are in the running for top pick. All the teams in the middle are running on a treadmill. Fans know when their team is in the boat and only fans in certain cities are gonna support their team when they are in that boat.

then other teams will suck to make up for the loses. There will always be crappy teams. You can't have good without the bad.

Take the Warriors off that list. THey serve the bay area which is a huge metro area. And the Kings and Cavs suffer from bad ownership/GM moves

Kings would be selling out that arena if them owners werent Monty Burns status.

The only team that is meaningless is the LOLcats there isn't a chance they start winning soon either. Im not even really with that whole contraction crap theres no league where every team got a chance. Even football isn't as up for grabs as everyone thinks it is. People act is if free agents were banging down these random teams doors to sign to play in these spots. This super team stuff is bs anyways in the end all the talent will even out as players mature. Its just up to these GMs to budget and plan to keep the talent they have gotten through the draft that is worth something.

you'll be loving this til you find out that there's 4 less games each night.

Aha! Good answer. But in all seriousness, it's crazy that there are 13 teams (not counting the Kings, Wizards, Thunder or Hawks as they won titles prior to moving to their current city) that have never won a title. Let's get creative.

Do we pull names from a hat and contract those 13 clubs down to 10, disband conferences and create 3 divisions of 9 with one team going to either of the other 2 divisions. Those 13 squads are:

Bobcats; Cavs; Clippers; Grizzlies; Hornets; Jazz; Magic; Nets; Nuggets; Pacers; Raptors; Suns; Wolves

Or if we look at it from a market perspective and move all 3 Texas teams to the East and create a Western/Eastern/Central division alignment?
Since 1980:
California = 10 Titles
Midwest (Detroit/Chicago) = 9 Titles
Texas = 7 Titles

Yall n1ggas stupid talking that dumb shyt saying it don't matter. NBA n1ggas been b1txhing about cities before lebron James. Them young n1ggas don't wanna go to no fukiing Cleveland where everybody in ever sport leaves Cleveland. Same goes anywhere. Green Bay is a different cloth and you can't name town like that in sports. fukk outta here with that. No of them n1ggas wanna play for a shytty town. Point blank period. Why couldn't Utah couldn't get free agents ever Why Jacksonville Jaguars can't get free agents or players who wanna stay. Sports players except for old care about championship teams yall stupid.

Lebron James decision tied to Miami about 90 percent. Bosh n Dwade would never go to some wack ass city. Same goes With Dwight he got his cities and they all big cities. fukk that talk yall saying. This ain't college.

I don't have a problem with there being some small market teams the will be perennially mediocre. It gives basketball fans across the whole nation (and Toronto too) a chance to see the superstars of the NBA when they travel to their city. It also gives the power teams a chance to practice, work out kinks, try out new plays, etc.:yeshrug:

co-sign this...plus it gives more brothers a chance to :eat: stop trying to take food out of nikkas mouths...it's a recession :shaq:

Players are having no problems in OKC, Utah, Boston, Indiana, etc. maybe the mega star won't sign(outside of Durant) there but they're getting good young players to play there. Cleveland had Bron for 7 years, Shaq agreed to play there so players will play for a not so glamorous market. Hell players just now finally want to play for the Clipps and they've been in LA for 30 years. NY Knicks had some dark years where some players stayed away and that's NEW YORK! Derron Williams at times sounded like he didn't give a fukk about the Big Apple and was gonna go to Texas.

These cities aren't as bad as you guys make them out to be. If you're getting paid millions it doesn't matter where you play at. Maybe for the spotlight craving stars like the Melo's, Bron's and DHoward's but I can't imagine most players/2nd tier stars worrying about the city as long as that big check clears. and really somebody explain to me ATL. That city should be a pro athlete's dream town but nobody is beating down there does to suit up.

Its the truth. Dudes crack me up when they mention "oh its the media or oh dudes are dumb as hell but don't know what they are talking about". Place those players in the same shoes they would be crying and whining.

The Eagles saved Chris Carter life by trading him to the Vikings in the late 80s early 90s because they knew Minnesota was nothing compared to the large cities such as Philly, New York, etc.... Dudes talking reckless but don't know what they talkin about. No players especially young would wanna play in thosehorrible cities.
