I'll start with the 4 teams and explain why they need to be deleted.
Western Conference
Timberwolves - The Lakers didn't want to be there and that's technically part of their history that is now in Los Angeles. From an organizational stand point they are clueless. They benefit from a watered down cesspool that gives them easy access to the best one and done players loosing can get you.
Pelicans - New Orleans is a football town and Louisiana is a football state.
*Bonus* -
Move OKC back to Seattle. Either OKC or the Clippers
The Clippers have gone from a history of losing to a history of teasing. They tried to erase the memory of a races owner by erasing his ownership of the team so they should just go ahead and erase the team all together and give them a new home. LA will always be Laker country.
Eastern Conference
Nets - In a market where they will always be second fiddle no matter what. You have a Russian owner. No first round draft picks until 2020 or some shyt and even when they was in NJ were irrelevant no matter how much winning they did.
Bucks - I put them in the same category as the TWolves.
If you get rid of these 4 teams
- the less roster spots will be available
- Which means less scrubs will slip threw the cracks.
- Which means that maybe, just maybe more players will stay in school do too tough competition for roster spots.
- The other teams will keep the TV money profits.
- The talent pool among teams will be less diluted.
- Players will get paid more money (UNLESS those TV contracts are tied to the amount of teams at which point defeats the purpose of the owners winning).
- Star player will be less likely to move around due to their teams having more access to talent.
After Credits Comment.
I would strongly consider contracting 3 teams from each conference and throw in the Hornets and Clippers.
