Is Mississippi's Governor Related To Emmet Till's Murderer?: The Urban Twist

his wife, Deborah, have two children, Katie and Patrick, and two grandchildren.[27] They are members of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Brandon.[27][dead link]

Dewey Phillip Bryant is the nephew of Roy Bryant who, along with his half-brother J.W. Milam, kidnapped and murdered a 14-year-old African-American boy named Emmett Till for allegedly making lewd remarks to Bryant's wife Carolyn. Carolyn Bryant admitted many years later in an interview with Timothy Tyson that she had fabricated much of her accusation against Till.

Deborah Bryant had a professional career in hospital management at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, and is active in a number of health-related causes.[28]

White supremacy runs deep.

The Justice Department reopened the investigation once the details from the book got out.

Emmett Till: Justice Department reopens murder case 60 years later

So they are on it I guess.

The Justice Department's February report was required under the Emmett Till Unsolved Civil Rights Crimes Reauthorization Act of 2016. The bill reauthorized investigation and prosecution of civil rights violations that occurred before 1970, expanded powers to include crime in the 1970s, required that families be kept abreast of developments and demanded an annual report on the investigations to Congress.
Thanks. That means we're due for another report shortly? Do we need to tweet the DOJ? :jbhmm:
