Its the way the trackmasters chopped up the jones girl sample that is used in the beat. They reaaranged alot of the notes in the song.
As a result, it sounds a little funny and unnatural. Not like a real bass player would sound if he played it the way the trackmasters chopped it up.
But in the overall scheme of things the song works out really well.
