look, I've been a Langdon supporter since he was in BK helping Marks. That guy got a pedigree. No surprise even in New Orleans, talent wasn't what they lacked.

Pelicans had the 4th pick and traded it away. They could have drafted Garland. I know the position was filled with Lonzo and Jrue but you always draft BPA and deal with it later. Instead he drafted Jaxson Hayes and Naw and Jrue and Lonzo both wanted to be gone two years after

NOOOOOOO!!! BPA without opportunity is a waste of a pick, especially that high. It's like drafting a third QB in fantasy when you don't have good wide receivers.
What they needed to add to Zion was a big who could rim protect. That's what they thought Hayes was gonna be. You're using hindsight because you now know what eventually happened to Lonzo and Jrue (but if we're gonna do that, they coulda took Maxey in 2020 and not felt a way about Garland--- not to downplay Lewis because he was a good prospect. David Griffin is a nobody. The fact that they are hiring Dumars over him, who's been terrible in Detroit for many years, tells you how much of a gimmick David Griffin was.
He was simply signing Bron buddies in Cleveland, talking shyt about it being a nightmare to work...and yet when he received another job opportunity to do REAL job this time...he felt flat, did absolutely nothing but shyt moves. I can't imagine another team signing him up anytime soon, like gotta be someone with lack of awareness if they wanna sign David Griffin to another GM spot.

Since it looks like all the rumors are coming true - the final bit of intel have on this whole situation is that ownership will mandate Dumars to keep Willie Green and trade Zion. This is what I have heard. It's possible the Phoenix situation impacts Willie Green, but this is the plan I am hearing.
