Last week, on Brad Maddox's first week as Raw GM, he decided to make the tough decisions…and let John Cena make the decision on who the WWE Champion would face at SummerSlam. Cena, because he is nothing if not aware of what 20,000 people are chanting at him at any given time, chose Daniel Bryan for his opponent. So, that will be interesting.
Speaking of interesting, after being betrayed by the man he thought was his best friend in the entire world, CM Punk vowed revenge on Paul Heyman, as well as anyone who might have even the most tenuous connection to his former business associate. Of course, that would include Brock Lesnar, and he was quick to make it clear that Punk's road to Heyman will have to go straight through him. However, Punk seems more than willing to oblige.
Plus, Dolph Ziggler decided it was time to drop his crazy girlfriend AJ, and somehow forgot that she is, in fact, crazy, and also quick to get revenge on those who slight her. Or those who may slight her in the future. Or those who might be thinking about potentially slighting her in this or any other timelines. Needless to say, there's now a large, Big E Langston-shaped obstacle in Ziggler's path, which the Show Off will have to deal with before he can resume his quest for the World Heavyweight title.
Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes has not taken Damien Sandow's betrayal of their partnership and friendship lightly, even though Sandow did offer him a job as his briefcase holder. In any event, Rhodes is on a rampage, and he seems determined to make sure that Sandow's reign as Mr. Money in the Bank is one he may regret in the end.
And The Shield's fight with the Uso twins doesn't look like it will be over anytime soon, and the odds may have swung drastically out of their favour with the addition of an enraged Mark Henry to the mix. Is the power of the World's Strongest Man the secret to the end of The Shield's dominance?
All this, plus the return of the Big Show, and more from the disturbingly cryptic Wyatt Family, tonight on Raw!
