Country voted him in because the Republicans ran a campaign blaming Biden/Harris for inflation. If the economy sucks under you as you're on the way out you always end up owning it and having an uphill battle with voters. Saying it's 'entertainmet value' is giving the American Voter too much credit. Sure...some people voted for name recognition and entertainment. But not even close across the board. Most folks looked their pocketbook and said they wanted a change.
Now there's the absolutely incredible ignorance involved with actually thinking a trade war reduces prices. But that's another kettle of fish. Stuff like that is why 'dismantle the two party system' isn't a solution. Voters are too mired in a lack of knowledge about politics and the ramifications of their choices.
