Let then stay (which costs money anyway) and get no moneyBut what if you made the IP?worthless business. Anything you make once but get payed forever for it is stupid as shyt. Even IP laws are ridiculous. How the hell can u own an idea for a lifetime or more lol
But what if you made the IP?
Nah I'm not with you there if you're the creatorArt is like math it stacks. The old shyt just influences the new shyt, but you can already see the problems that IP laws being a lifetime or more. Movies are only doing sequels or remakes, if the IP for marvel had ended 10 years after they created something, anyone coulda made a spiderman movie. We're actually missing out on potential better stuff because creators hold on to this shyt longer. Studios can just make sequels and remakes forever. If IP rights were 10 years max theyd be force to take risks and greenlight some cool stuff. Suits are always cowards, this is a universal law.

Like Tolkien shouldn't have had to give up his shyt while he was alive

Isnt that how property works? You didnt refute none of my points.
You just looked at is a "i made it so its mine"

fukk that. I dont care if Lucas wants to make 600 movies that are worse than the prequels, it (was) hisWait for the bailout by December lolResidential and commercial tenants. And I bet the impact is going to be worse on the commercial side.
There’s a ton of mixed use development that’ve popped up in the last decade where the numbers probably don’t work anymore. Gyms and restaurants can’t anchor your project anymore. Hotels are in limbo. And you can’t jack the rents up on your non-commercial tenants to make up the lost revenue. And then depending on where you are located evictions are on hold and will continue for the foreseeable future.
There’s a storm coming. Either through defaults or evictions or both.
