The ones filling in will either be retired or BELOW BCS refs

Funny thing is, we all agree NFL Refs have been pretty bad in the past, so why would there be any outrage?

I actually hope it's a younger crew and they do a better job, too many refs that are 60 years old hanging onto jobs.

Because it's dangerous to have a more inexperienced crew out there.

What you said makes no sense it's not like they are players who have to perform skill wise. The current refs once had no nfl experience and they were trained and learned how to do it. It doesn't seem like a big deal to me if they bring in new people and train them before the season starts.

This is a major issue for player safety IMO.

You may have refs out that cant' recognize players blocking defensive linemen that already engaged with a linemen in front of them.

Player safety is at issue. I played with scrub ass refs before. They hurt games and players.
