But it looks good cuz it usually guarantees a huge 1yr contract that a player cant refuse. Bit someone like Von Miller would get a $150mil deal from some desperate team if he could negotiate w/ the rest of the league. How is this shyt even allowed.:mindblown:

Yeah, it keeps players below the top salary. If the players weren't so worried about practice time, they could ahve negotiated franchise tags must mean some kind of percentage over the biggest contract at that position.

There shouldn't be franchise tags. And u definitely shouldn't be allowed to use it more than once if u have it.

I forgot what player this was but the dude was signed and during the last few games of the season the team didn't let him get many touches because his contract had some incentives in it that be was close to reaching.

Happens all the time.

I believe last year my Steelers did a version of that with Brandon Boykins. Got him in a trade from philly. Secondary is our weak spot. Boykins was a god send.

The Steelers barely played his ass the first half of the season. :francis: meanwhile we were getting TORCHED!:fire: Antwan Blake had to be the worst starting corner in the league. We only played Brandon on special teams.

FINALLY the last quarter of the season they decide to add him to the rotation. IMMEDIATELY he gets a int and makes a contribution.

Come to find out later that if he got a certain number of snaps last year we would have had to give philly a higher draft pick.:stopitslime:

NFLPA is a joke. They should give Donald Fehr a blank check to represent them and hire him away from the NHLPA.
