I want no parts of Memphis, Cincy, or Boise.

It’s hard to imagine Bama or Michigan in these lower tier bowl games (in bold). Oh yeah, don’t assume that all of your players are gonna show up and play. Dudes bout to declare and sit these bowl games out.


SEC Bowl Ties, Affiliations
An SEC team will be in the Sugar Bowl vs. the Big 12 – it’ll be the champion if not in the College Football Playoff.

College Football Playoff Semifinal: If Selected

1. Sugar Bowl vs. Big 12

2. Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl vs. Big Ten or ACC

The SEC will assign teams to the respective bowls in this pool.

– AutoZone Liberty Bowl vs. Big 12
– Belk Bowl vs. ACC
– Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl vs. ACC or Big Ten (most likely the ACC)
– Outback Bowl vs. Big Ten
– TaxSlayer Bowl vs. ACC or Big Ten (most likely the Big Ten)
– Texas Bowl vs. Big 12

Why wont they have an 8 team playoff?

Any other sport has a full fledged playoff including d2 and d3 college football.
They use the exams excuse yet d2 and d3 have exams. You got Maine going all the way to Eastern Washington on a bus as they dont even have the funds for a jet like these bigger schools have

We were just talking about a 14 team playoff at the job. This guy told me that the CFP should be called the “SEC Invitational ft. Clemson, OK & Ohio St” and said that you can never have a true National Champion if it’s not a national group represented.


Get rid of the Conference Championship games and make every team play 9 conference games, 2 “Out of conference challenge” games versus a power 6 team (yep the AAC should be counted), and one mandatory in-state cupcake teams that most states require. If your rivalry game is not part of your annual in-conference play then it will count as one of the challenge games.


#1 and #2 teams have a bye

Round 1 can be played at the home team field

3 vs 14 4 vs 13

5 vs 12 6 vs 11

7 vs 10 8 vs 9

Round 2 played: Four regional bowls will be used

Round 3: no change from current

Finals …. No change from current
