Still optimistic :ehh:
It's weird, I feel like this is just a free season. I'm not as emotionally attached to the results since the season is short. I am just glad baseball is back.
And this team has got some great pieces, they actually have like a 3-5 year window. Alonso, McNeil, Davis, Rosario and Conforto is just a real solid core group of position players and most have not even reached their ceilings yet and already are good. So yeahI'm optimistic to.

Hopefully uncle Stevie got his eye on a third baseman. McNeil is the perfect second baseman. He ain’t built for the hot corner like that. Can’t can spell him at 2nd. Even at 1st. And I’m still not a believer in Rosado. I don’t know what it is.

Rosario is improving year by year, he's fine.

These last 4 games against the red sox pretty much sum up the Mets for decades. Go to Boston and win both games, come back home and lose both games. Make the hard part easy and the easy part hard. Two steps forward, two steps backwards.

A team with a killer instinct would be 5-2 instead of 3-4, but here we are.

I think that's every team not called the Yankees, Dodgers or Cardinals.

Not everyone can play in NY. They should have traded him.

This. The only other logocal reason is his "supplier" in Seattle doesnt do cross-country distribution.

It makes no other sense how you go from being unhittable to being BP practice (with no injury) in the span of a single winter.

With that said I fully expect him to "return to his old self" if/when he's in a smaller market
