NEW: Nick Saban suggests to @clowfb that Lane Kiffin may already have a better job at Ole Miss than he would at LSU or Florida🤔

“Jobs that weren’t great jobs before are now. Lane is the first name up for Florida and the first name up for LSU, but I think you can have a long debate on whether either one of those jobs is actually better than the job he has now because he has some guys over there at Ole Miss that give him pretty much whatever he wants from a roster standpoint...

Maybe you’ve got alumni who are passionate about football, but are they willing to invest what you have to invest now to win? Because a lot of people don’t believe in this shyt.”

206 & 734

my exact point
honestly, other than 'they've won some titles' why is florida a better job than ole miss in 2026?
I'd rather build up ole miss than fix florida....its not a better job. LSU might be but idk...as the head coach, unless Oxford is WAY WORSE than the other cities, not sure how its a worse life

Only real advantage UF has is Florida has no state income tax, so even if that rate is 3-5% he's pocketing an extra ~$400k/year :yeshrug:

Less meaningful in 2026, but I guarantee UF & LSU have significantly better facilities than Ole Miss

Saban is right. Kiffin should stay at Ole Miss.
Get himself a nice raise out of this.
There's way less pressure to win there as well.

Seeing smoke about Franklin to VaTech. That’d be great for both sides
Would be a great hire by VA Tech...complaint on Franklin is he has a 10-win ceiling (which ironically would mean a playoff birth, at least in the B1G & SEC), and VA Tech longs for the days when they were consistently winning 10 games, ceiling or not.

ACC is a significantly easier path to the playoffs, no OSU & Oregon to deal with, not to mention Franklin always struggle with Mich and was .500 vs MSU even...FSU is down bad, Clemson is down bad, Miami is still pretty inconsistent, and we all know Mario is more than capable to drop games he shouldn't.

Also saw in the comments that Franklin pulled 5 of the top 10 recruits out of VA, and that Mid-atlantic area (PA/VA/NJ/MD) is where he has his best recruiting connections. Franklin has always done well in metro Detroit too.

It's time these coaches just stfu and put on their "blue collar jackets"
Say what you want about Sherrone, he doesn't bytch and whine too much, he tries to find solutions. :manny:

See how NIL is changing the college landscape? Work it into the recruiting process more.

Notice that cross-country B1G trips put the visiting team at a disadvantage? Leave a day early to try to mitigate the time change.

Don't have Harbaugh on the sidelines after he gets suspended? Coach the team to beat Penn State and Ohio in route to a national title :wow:

Do they always work? No, but I'd rather have a coach that tries to work around disadvantages than whine to the media about how unfair everything is.
