Cause imagine you already on the hot seat and then get blown out in a spring game.

Probably won’t have the 1 and 2 ‘s for much. Probably looking at a few droves from the 1’s and 2’s. It would probably be more back ups.

But, you right about that perception. Worried fans nagging you until the season start and then potentially messing up your top 25 early ranking.

I’m referring to actual scrimmages, which aren’t open to the public.

I'm assuming injuries

Hoops teams do non-public and even public scrimmages pre-season every year. I remember a season or two ago, MSU vs. Tennessee had a televised scrimmage and that game was dope af.

I’m referring to actual scrimmages, which aren’t open to the public.

I’ve never understood WHY NFL teams actually do do it.

It’s like 80-90 MFs on a team and you get 5 weeks to get that shyt down to 53. Need to see all the reps you can from them.

Plus I wouldn’t want any teams getting familiar with my offense/defense.
