scUM twitter really turned on Sherone...y'all riding w/ him still?
I need to see how the rest of the year plays out man. It's too early to tell. I see some things I like and other things that I absolutely don't. Biggest red flag to me is the offensive line because I have no idea why that's still so lacking after we retained our entire front from last year. Special teams has dropped off a cliff too.

But another concern is that he's unproven as a coach, so will he get better? Will he not? I have no idea.

Name names :sas2:
Trash ass Justin Fields is definitely one. He can't even hit open receivers much less covered ones.

He took a sack on this play. :mjcry:

I mostly agree but in his defense, it's year 2 and y'all lost an entire coaching staff, starting QB and a ton of starters. Last year had some bad losses, but this year the only losses are on the road to good teams.
That’s semi fair. But let’s take a step back.

I fully knew the offense was gonna be a work in progress with a damn near overhaul on identity. So I can’t be too hard on them.

But that’s where it ends.

- The OLine is utter trash. (Newsome’s been here for 5-6 years)

- The defense as a whole is fukking depressing. If we were getting lit up through the air, I’d understand a little bit, because of how young they are. (We’re playing 3 legit freshman) But we’re not. All of the damn passing yards were giving up are from short bubbles, or quick routes, when our opponent sees us playing 15-18 yards off their receivers. That’s a Wink problem, and his fat ass should be the first to go. Mf’er won’t adjust for shyt.

Do you know he blitzed on something like 24 of USC’s 34 drop backs?

Playing so far off the receivers, let USC kill us with quick hitters.

We can’t tackle for shyt anymore.

We’re not as physical anymore.

Clock and timeout management is pop warner level.

And outside of Zvada (our kicker) .. special teams is a bottom 5 unit in the country.

i'm not out on him but ask again after Washington. Now I would like a new defensive coordinator and to get rid of our special teams coach.

i had us at 9-3. I think some fans really underestimated some of our opponents (USC specifically) and overestimated the level of rebuild required since Jim basically didn't recruit his final 2 years at Michigan.

9-3 still reasonable. I think y'all will have trouble with MSU, I still think that's anyone's game. Idk why y'all thought going to USC was a joke...

All metrics had USC as the #1 offense plus the road trip but I think people saw that Illinois game and the schedule in general and dismissed it as real. I think Washington is a sort of poor man's USC so that game will be telling.

Those cross country trips are fukking DIFFICULT. I was shocked that IU pulled it off. I don't see Wash winning in AA.

The bolded is what kills me. Because I would understand if it was the freshman making the mistakes, but they're actually doing much better than I expected...better than their upperclassmen peers. Everyone makes a big deal out of Underwood starting but Marsh is our second leading receiver and he just became a starter last week, Babalola was pushing to become a starter likely by mid-season before he got injured, we have multiple freshman DBs getting good minutes. They're good of course but still.
