If he could improve anything here, it would be ending his rounds stronger. He kinda choked at the end of his 3rd after the Little Bow Wow thing. You can tell he switched his bars because the reaction threw him off.
but he still DIED.
The visuals (90's style grimy rapper vs 2010's NYC teenager)+ Brizz voice was way too much. Brizz's dark poetry style just sounded so good in that room.

Probably not, this was the perfect storm for Brizz. A judged battle in front of a somewhat uninitiated crowd played heavily to his favor. I caught more of Dot's bars last night then I did when this first aired. That's because I have more of a sense of his patterns and what he's trying to do. But that isn't the right style for this setting, Brizz was chopping straight at Dot's neck. It's like Dot put his quarter in and lost all three lives to the final boss.
And EPMD being the judges was just the cherry on top.
Look at the rappers they put on, all rugged grimy dudes with presence & aggressive styles.

Brizz vs Showoff. Brizz was on point as well. One could make an argument for that being his best battle as well
