Same guy that's been hating on Julius Randle since he was 19 now wants to poor baby Chet because he's a cac

The fukking audacity
he literally bumped the jalen green thread all of last season bragging about how bad he's struggling until jalen green showed out and then it was crickets

:russ:
And how's it going for Jalen Green and Julius Randle now?

I see a lot of folks quick to project him as a bust all because he doesn’t look the part, but when you have length and BBIQ, it’s hard to be a bust in today’s league. They’re the two most important things that allow you to stay on the floor in the current climate as a big man.

To go along with the fact he can handle the ball, he can shoot, he can finish, he can switch onto wings/guards and unlike many long, lean white players who’re finesse — he ain’t no p*ssy (he’s spoken about how being clowned for being white with a bowl cut growing up gave him the ability to show he ain’t no punk). He ain’t afraid to get physical and do the dirty work. Who knows if his frame/durability will allow him to have a long career with his play style (all dependent on how strong he can get and how he grows into his body), but if his name wasn’t Chet and he didn’t look like the end-monster in a horror film, there would be a lot more talk around his actual game rather than projecting him to be a bust based on his appearance.

Chet is in the perfect spot because even though he was drafted in a spot where you would expect a franchise leading player he doesn't have that role or the associated pressure.

Nobody is drafting a 3rd option at #2 overall on purpose. Who knows how he turns out if he was expected to be a #1.

It will be interesting to see if he accepts a 3rd option contract.
As a number one option he would be putting up numbers

They were Tenth seed the season after they drafted him. He comes back from injury and they skyrocket due to him and Williams taking a leap.

On a lesser team, playing 35 mins a game Chet is averaging 24 points 10 rebounds and 2-3 blocks easily

Ever since I saw how much respect and admiration he has for KG, and wanted to learn from him, I knew he would pan out.

KG is like Iverson, they get universal love, it's like if you don't like AI or KG you're basically a cornball

I like when young players want to learn from the previous generation, shows they're smart and have a desire to get better

I wish Kobe was still with us, because he was very willing to be a mentor to the younger brehs, I even remember Kobe Bryant working out with Jayson Tatum and teaching him things

Kobe would definitely be dropping jewels about the NBA if he was still with us

He’s gonna be a 20 plus PPG scorer while being a top 3-5 defender in the league in his prime.
He's for sure on that trajectory and will get there maybe as soon as next season. He just so happens to play on a stacked team who got guys coming off the bench who can get 30. With more minutes now he would probably be a 22/11 player off of talent alone. When he gets a few more pounds on him he will be an All NBA player. And eventually that will be at the center postion if he gets to 230 ish. But right now him playing with Hartenstein is the best thing for his career.

Agree completely. I've seen former NBA players say they don't wanna share their secrets because they worked so hard to learn them, Carmelo was just saying something like this the other day. But, if you're out the league, you gotta be willing to help these young brehs out for the betterment of the game.

They most likely don't want to share knowledge because when they were younger they had bad vets who saw them as threats and gave them nothing and for them its come full circle. But this is exactly why certain intricacies and nuances of the game get lost and die out.
