But they still broke the bank to renew Ozil's contract :what:

    When they signed Woodgate :deadmanny:
IIRC, they had Adebayor for a while, and Chicarito, and a washed Essien :bryan:
They had Anelka too I think
And when they took Saviola from Barca
They had someone too from west ham :bryan:

Ozil's contract was panic mode. Especially after the Sanchez debacle, they felt they had to do something, to keep the fans onside, hence the 350k p/w.

They could afford the wages, because they let go of big earners like Sanchez, Giroud, Walcott, plus the silly high wages of Debuchy and Coquelin. While only taking on Auba and Mkhitaryan wages.

Getting rid of Debuchy and Coquelin contracts more or less covers the increase in Ozils money.

But in the long term, Stan will make his money back and then some on the return, due to being in LA with the media and commercial markets opened to him. No guarantee the CB, is going to work out.

Yeah, but how long is the window open for them to win? This year and possibly next? And even next year is no guarantee, as we've seen many times before.

Thats a lazy excuse when City has been outbid for Jorginho, Van Dijk, Sanchez, Pogba in recent years.

It's not City's fault that Kroenke has invested $0 into the club. shyt fans who buy jerseys have invested more into the club than the owner.

But lament about owners not investing into their clubs and at the same time bash owners for investing into their club. The hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Hold wasn't every headline during last 10 years how Wenger didn't want to spend Arsenal's 'huge transfer war chest' :gucci:

Aye whatever man I’m sure many teams wish they had access to oil funds but limitations exist in financial structures kinda like that team you supported before the Sheik swooped in

If it's not oil money, it's FFP, then it'll be something else. Get a grip.
