I don't think it was that garage, that's right beside the stadium that you are talking about. There was some new yuppie living apartments/condos they built in the area. Not too far from the PATH stop.

Considering the time frame, he must be talking about when Shearer retired in Summer 2000 and when Sven was appointed in Oct/Nov of 2000. Thats the only real opportunity he could of been in consideration for the armband. I'm guessing hes on about when Becks was made captain, Sven was the one who made him captain.
