Nico had been edging lewis out by 2 hundreths of a second throughout the quali session save for the last times on quali 2 where hamiltion edged him by a tenth...

In quali 3 nico nailed a lap that was 5 hundreths faster than lewis's, they get to the last go and rosberg over drives and ends up having to park his car down a side run off of the track, meaning the yellow flags went up and lewis's last lap couldn't count...and a lil sidenote to that is lewis had equalled rosberg's 1st sector of his best lap and was on to go on and get pole as it stood...and now there's huge controversy over whether he did it deliberately or not...only damon hill (what a surprise) and niki lauda (whose the realest since kumbaya but would have to play diplomat in this situation anyway) said that they didnt believe it was deliberate
