People used to complain that the Prem was becoming too elitist when the Big Four held a monopoly over the league. Now that we're seeing different teams in the mix, people are still complaining. In my opinion, this is the most exciting season in ages.

People are complaining b/c the teams just aren't very good. The fact that Leicster is on top is just laughable. This is one of Arsenal's worst teams in the last 10 years and yet this is their best chance to win it.

Maybe it's not the worst but there have been better Arsenal teams in the last 10 years who didn't come close to winning the title, yet they would probably win it this year.
The points total says more about how competitive the league has been this year since everybody has been taking points off each other. In the past, Arsenal have clearly been the 3rd/4th best team in the league but the gap between them and 5th-downwards was greater so they picked up more points.
This year is the closest we've ever been to parity in the EPL.
