Any time they say there is money in the bank I know there will be no transfers. I knew the moment Wilshere came back and Arteta got some game time that Wenger was probably sitting there saying it's like having a new signing. The man has taken up squad places with injured players like Diaby all the time. Wilshere,Arteta, and Rosicky were probably considered as cover when we all know how they won't be reliable.

Benzema is happy at Madrid. Fits into Madrid. Has the galactico look that Perez loves and plays well with CR7. Other than Lewendonski and Suarez, there isn't better options for striker. It would have cost well over €100 just because Real has absolutely no reason to sell.
You know how Perez rolls buying new toys every window. I thought the Reus rumors were true and that Rafa was really considering puttng CR7 in the striker position.
I still say Benz was coming but that scoreless draw with Real 2 weeks ago changed a lot. If they had sold Benzema and bought Reus after that match, they would get killed for doing it with no recognized striker.
