Gareth Southgate says if he could have picked five or six right-backs for England's European Championship campaign he "would have done".

Boss Southgate has named four right-backs in his 26-man squad for this summer's tournament.

Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold is joined by Chelsea's Reece James, Atletico Madrid's Kieran Trippier and Manchester City's Kyle Walker.

Southgate said his squad consists of the "best 26 footballers".

This really is a

He really is a Hertfordshire Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with good pr and a waistcoat fetish. :hhh:

I think Southgate should have swapped Lingard for Rashford. MBE isn't fit at all.

Also, drop Macguire for Godfrey as the former isn’t fit as well and swap Trippier for another attacking player. Perhaps Ings or Maddison.
Maddison isnt fit, he didn't look right towards the end of the season. He needs to get his hip sorted properly. And that's not even getting to trust issues Waistcoat has with him.

Trippier going due of experience as 15 of the squad this will be their first tournament. Also with question marks over Henderson and Slabhead lose those 2 Waistcoat wants senior players around.

Makes sense for Trippier. Didn’t know Madders wasn’t fully fit. In that case maybe go for Watkins instead. Anyway, lets see.

France are still my faves for this tournament.

Just thought of this. Dark Horse for the Everton job. Conte. Why? Everton are like the only club who would back Conte fully in the transfer market year after year. They have players that fit his 352 especially up front with DCL being physical and Richarlison work rate.

would be very beautiful to watch. But I highly highly doubt he goes there. I personally think he goes to PSG.

If they’re trying to be ambitious they should be all over it
