Havertz really needs to hold bench. We don’t press high up the pitch anymore because he’s not used to the press triggers and Odegaard is constantly shouting at him when to press. He doesn’t hold that wide 8 position when the ball goes out to Martinelli and it’s limiting the cutback options.

I don't get what Arteta sees in Havertz as an 8. Dude is a 10/second striker so playing him deeper doesnt make much sense..

If he wants a midfield 3 with only proper ball players like a Pep team then all 3 need to have good movement on top of good passing. Havertz is nowhere near dynamic enough to do that.
