If im the next coach, the first thing id would do is put up all these washed guys for sale. Imagine coming to manage know you are a bad spell away from mutiny.

Maybe a lot of it has to do with the way it's done?

After you have served the club with distinction for so long doesn't Mo at least deserve a sit down and let him know you want to go in another direction, so he can do what's best for him and his family? Mo Salah doesnt deserve that?

We get so used to discarding players like they are a piece of trash that we don't stop to consider sometimes.

I would probably agree if he was not playing in the same way Chiesa has not been playing but up till 3 games ago he was undroppable to our detriment.

Slot's man management is Ten Hag esque so i am not surprised in the non communication aspect of it but Salah has been at the club long enough to know if you contribute nothing up top then you should at least contribute defensively. He has done neither. Having him on the right at the moment is akin to playing with 10 men.

I dont really believe he is owed an explanation to be honest. Its a tactical decision which the manager - whoever he is - is within his right to make. Salah can exercise his right if he is unhappy and put in a transfer request.

Salah has actually made Liveepool's job harder. If they were on the brink of getting Slot out, now they will have to come out and back him to maintain the structure.

You make good points. The highlighted is the only one I disagree with.
I think this is what's wrong with society in general. The manager is within his right to make a decision, but we are really used to the concept of "we can use you up, and throw you away...you have a good salary don't you?"
Then we get miffed when we see outbursts like this. We expect loyalty when someone puts a shirt on but then reserve the right to be disrespectful and to discard them when they are no longer of use, and we say, " that's life, that's football".
I just think that we need to do better, but that's a philosophical discussion.
(Outside of Arteta...he deserves whatever comes to him)

I think this will make it easier for Liverpool to make a decision
Salah is too influential in the dressing room with what he has done the last 8 years and im hearing other senior players like Virgil are backing Salah as well

I think this make Slot's job untenable now

Well it is true :francis:however...........Klopp would have not said it.. maybe Mou though

Re reading some of the statements someone above slot wants mo out..because mo never said slot wants him out,he says someone...just weird ,he was also rotating robbo and suddenly that stopped..maybe they are trying to get rid of old guard who have some influence. Anyway how has he not been sacked yet is a mystery to me..after inter??? I hope they know e llwe don't have another break until march:mjlol:

Salah was leaving for AFCON. Should Slot keep on giving Salah free passes for his levels and he only loses his place due to being unavailable due to national team call up?

This is the quote that people are missing on.

"I don't have to go every day fighting for my position because I earned it. I am not bigger than anyone but I earned my position. It's football. It is what it is."

You fight every day for your position to keep standards up being one of the senior player at the clubs. You're 33 with declining athleticism playing in the wrong league for passengers. Its Football/Sport you're only good as your last outings. The moment you become content is the time you should leave as an athlete.

I think you are taking that statement at face value without considering the rest of the conversation. Salah, beyond Slot seems to be alluding to forces in the club looking to get rid of him. If they want to get rid of him why not have a conversation? Hasn't he earned to right to have that? It's amazing how easy it is for folks to disregard the years that man carried the team on his back.
