I finally caught up to the current season of HIMYM after the season finale aired in May. So this gonna be the first season that I keep up the show week-to-week.

How the hell this show lasted 9 seasons? Did people watch JUST so they can find out who the mother is and that's why it stayed on the air? This reminds me of how you had to wait TEN SEASONS just to see Clark suit up in Smallville.

That's part of it but the show is hugely popular. Not everyone who watches the show does so begrudgingly. I genuinely enjoy the show and do want to see the resolution of the characters. This is not the first (nor the last) show that has been subject to more seasons for the cash in.

I didn't know they were showing two episodes tonight. I wonder if they are doing that for the remainder of the season. This episode's pandering was out of this world but I wasn't mad at all. I wasn't feeling the stereotypical Black woman troupe that they employed. The Robin/ Barney related story line was extra corny. Ted's wife is as corny as he is and I love it. The part at the end with future Ted and the Mother while Ted was in the hotel bar was cool. If they keep pandering like this, I'll want to be mad but I won't.
