Lately, I've been reading a lot about online businesses from internet marketing to subscription based websites and I thought it would be a cool idea to make a thread where posters can bounce ideas off each other.
I became interested in online businesses last year, finally starting a website late December 2014. I tried to monetize it rather early by writing an ebook; obviously that didn't go so well. I blame it on not building enough readership, not building my email list and not providing enough quality content to persuade someone to purchase anything from me, even if it was a cheap $2.99 ebook.
So, while continuing to retool & write content on the blog, I've decided to look into subscription-based services. This case study sold me on how possible it can be as long as you work your ass off to make it successful. I have a few untapped niches I think could be dominated by subscription boxes if done right.

Informative sites I check out daily are www.warriorforum.com and www.buildersociety.com
This subscription box company is hilarious to me. Pretty good example of finding a niche and providing what that target demographic wants.
