Michigan transfer targets
DeaMonte Trayanum (running back, Arizona State) and
Victor Oluwatimi (center, Virginia) visited Michigan last weekend, and the Wolverines were reportedly trending up in the aftermath of the trip . Questions abound as to whether they would each be choosing a school today. After doing some digging, I was told by multiple sources that neither is expected to be a part of the signing day festivities. It appears that Trayanum’s recruitment could go into next year. I haven’t yet heard the reason for that, but whatever it is, it hasn’t deterred Michigan’s pursuit.
Oluwatimi, meanwhile, is expected to have a decision by Friday. I’m told Clemson had been the main (only?) competition until
Tony Elliott showed up in Charlottesville and made retaining the Rimington Award finalist a priority. 247’s Brian Dohn shared with us the news that the UVA brass met with Oluwatimi again last night. Even so, confidence continues to emanate from Michigan class circles about the likelihood of Oluwatimi joining the Maize & Blue fold. It’s a total wait and see on that, though, as I’ve heard nothing to suggest that a decision has already been made.
As always, stay tuned
c'mon Olu
