So far the admin is still on some "they should be honored to be playing for the university " type shyt...

CFB is a business to the university, why shouldn't it be a business to the fukking players as well?

A big part is with the level of academic instution that UM is, there is almost a majority of admin, staff and even students that resent athletics altogether or just don't care at all about them. UM won't sell out their academic reputation for football success, and tbh I think they do the best job of balancing that compared to the other top 20 academic schools. Vandy and Northwestern and UCLA have excellent academics but inconsistent to shytty athletics programs. UNC maybe compares, but they don't have the same level of athletics success, same with UT-Austin.
