I don't think it's because I'm older. What I mean the show has no uniqueness or that thing about it MTV awards used to have. It feels like a little kids show but, the type of show that would be on disney or nickelodeon. It feels like a girls show. I can't think of the perfect words but, it feels soft and corny. Everyone looks a like, the songs are generic, and the performances are generic. They are being sexual to make up for the lack of performance. I guess entertainment has been sold out to corporations because this show feels safe. That is the perfect word, SAFE.

15 years ago the VMAs was pretty much a celebration of past members of the Mickey Mouse Club. What isn't there is the extreme opposite of that to balance shyt out the way it used to. NSYNC and Britney and Backstreet Boys and all of them performed, but then DMX and Jay-Z would have a spot too. That extreme just isn't there now
