It seems like every other team in the NFL has a year where everyone expects them to be bad and they end up being good or competitive.
That never happens for the Raiders. Not one time. We've had two good seasons in the last 23 years and 1 of them was a complete fluke.

The reality is that the Raiders are one of the least talented teams in the league. Hard to be consistent turning over the GM and coach every other year. Drafts this decade leave a lot to be desired.
Daniel Carlson is low-key trash. No idea why everyone thinks he's good. I see why the Vikings tossed him quick.

I wouldn’t call 2016 or 2021 a fluke. Those teams had good talent. What happened after those years need to be examined.
I think 2021 was a fluke year. 2016 we were legit. I think 2016 was the year we had a legit shot if Carr never got hurt.
2021 we was like bottom 5 in the league defensively. Offensively we was pretty solid, but nothing like super special. Middle of the pack. We won a lot of close games. I don't think we were bad by any means, but I it felt like our record was better than the talent. Especially defensively.
