^, aight , lol.

anyway........

The drug war has produced profoundly unequal outcomes across racial groups, manifested through racial discrimination by law enforcement and disproportionate drug war misery suffered by communities of color. Although rates of drug use and selling are comparable across racial lines, people of color are far more likely to be stopped, searched, arrested, prosecuted, convicted and incarcerated for drug law violations than are whites. Higher arrest and incarceration rates for African Americans and Latinos are not reflective of increased prevalence of drug use or sales in these communities, but rather of a law enforcement focus on urban areas, on lower-income communities and on communities of color as well as inequitable treatment by the criminal justice system. We believe that the mass criminalization of people of color, particularly young African American men, is as profound a system of racial control as the Jim Crow laws were in this country until the mid-1960s.

Oh. Well I personally am not a fan of people being forgiven for loans and I think student loans are the worst type of loan available but you borrowed it, the terms were provided (which no one reads) and you signed anyway. Do what you have to do to pay that shyt off.

I agree on paying back what you owe. I aint sweating the shyt but if it ever comes into fruition. Im in :obama:

Realisticly though, there really should be something more comprehensible for Highschool seniors regarding student loans. Long blocks of legal jargon don't cut it IMO.

I try to school my cousin on loans cuz shes a freshman in College, but its just really hard to get across the weight of student loans until youre faced with that 6 month notice on graduation.

Eh I blame parents. If you can get your kids the latest clothes and electronics then surely over 18 years you can save for college or at least start looking for scholarships/grants early on in your child's education... I'm talking end of middle school. People really drop the ball when it comes to higher education. Student loans won't be an option for my kid. There is no way anyone should allow a person fresh out of highschool to borrow thousands of dollars with no guarantee of paying it back.

Church....if college is going to be structured the same when I get a kid/kids to 18..they're going to take care of lower level electives/prereqs in a nice cheap ass community college..network, get a shytload of extra-curricular activities under their belt on top of a job and high GPA...then take that nice CV and transfer to a reputable college to take courses in the field of study they're interested in...got a degree/degrees from Howard at a fraction of the price and no loans to worry about.
