Future does not rap well enough bar to bar and loses the listeners interest.
That when he came back with more inhouse writers where they all sound like ear drummers music. It was obvious and would soon create a disconnect.
Personally, I don't think future really learned to rap well at all.
Duke is a dungeon family rnb act like sleepy brown on autotune.
Who could not craft rap bars and if you listen to dirty sprite or his early shyt and his every verse is a miss discography damn near predating the ear drumma writing pool it speaks volumes.
Also, since certain flows have become stock southern staples which is biting and not called out.
He gets to lean on skill sets that are not his and cover it up, too.
Over time in rap you will not hold the listeners attention and it was obvious back on the original dirty sprite..
Which is why he never blew up after racks and had to relaunch with a writing production pool in tow.
You can tell the future rhymes he wrote because they are all vibey abstract non-rhyming bars and verses.
