Yeah. I don't think he did. The article said, according to Reagan, that libertarianism is the core of conservatism. Now in these times (post 2016-), Hannity's ideology (I think populism) is the core of the conservatism.
In short, since the core of conservatism has changed so radically, Paul and his ilk are now in left in the cold.

Honestly I'm not sure you can completely separate the two.
Tea Party economics itself is really just white resentment in the form of "I'm tired of these lazy black/brown people getting all these handouts". Only difference now is they don't really bother pretending it's just about economic policy.

The irony of that is that it was initially white resentment in the form of "I'm tired of these very rich white people getting all these handouts and the government giving away these handouts". But yeah, I agree with the rest of your post.

I was a former libertarian. I make my decisions based on facts and reason and not ideology.
If libertarianism or any western system is supposedly the ideal, then why has the eastern model produced better results than any western system? The eastern powers are most stable, are safer with less crime, and they don't have to deal with the bickering and political grid lock of the western systems.
It's quite clear that not only libertarianism is dead, but the western's position on any of their white supremacist CAC-based systems are all junk.

Libertarianism has always been about the few maintaining control over the majority. In order to perform this its necessary to undermine the federal goverment since that, in this country, has been the vehicle of the majority.
