This is the future of Transgenderism

Instead of gender transition surgery people will just hookup to a virtual world with VR headsets and play all day long the life of the opposite sex.

No Whammies!!
After the first episode, I was like "ehh... 'Westworld Season 3' meets 'Ready Player One' :francis:.

But I finally got around to watching the 2nd episode, and I thought it was much better.
:ohhh:

The second episode actually reminded me of 'Counterpart'.

I also liked that they kind of explained more about the timelines/universes/stubs than I expected them to. I thought this was going to be the type of show where you have no idea what is going on until the end of the season.

To clarify, I thought they were going to drag out the "what is real and what is a simulation" question a long time.

I'm glad they did. It wasn't obvious/explained in the novels until much later.

I really want to see more of the worldbuilding though

These first 2 episodes were very good :ehh:

This is the little girl from the Equalizer? Makes me feel :flabbynsick:

Have no idea about the lore but it's interesting. A unique spin on previous concepts.

Most importantly, and no jinx, but I'm pleasantly surprised that not one but both brehs on this show appear to have toughness, agency, and Harlem residency.

Not only that, but the British breh appears to have access to Jaylen Rose's barber out there in future London. One of the sharpest lineups I've seen on a breh on TV.

Counterpart a good callback, definitely kinda feels like that. Good so far.

I want to like this but it’s hard to sit through.

The black dude in the wheelchair was the first time I woke up and engaged with what was going on

Also Hit-Girl from Kick-Ass when she was even younger :skip:

Definitely agree with the Westworld/Ready Player One comps. Nolan's like to have that videogame influence in their shows. 2 eps in and it's pretty solid so far and I plan to keep watching, although I'm weary of how things might come together in the end.

Seeing future tech is always :ohhh:to me. The aspect about the future scenes I am enjoying the most.

Maybe I don't watch a ton of shows with heavy Southern accents, but it's definitely noticeable in the present scenes.

If it goes for a few seasons, they may have to have Flynne gradually drop that accent like Storm and Scarlett Witch did over the course of their movies.
