Obviously the whole, skip the first 50'ish floors below us every other day won't work like they intended; 'cause not everyone will see things the way you do. So if they knew, and were ok with eventually killing a few people to make things work. Why not just kill the first 50 people, use them as some sort of martyr. So the plan would work, with blood on your hand and conscious; but nonetheless work.
I was thinking that myself but I guess they didn't have the stomach for that?
Also why couldnt he ride the elevator back to the top with the girl? Would it have not gone back up with him on it?

Homie was still seeing Trimagasi so the way I see it, he just went crazy. I'm sure the platform would have taken up both of them but I think the film's message was that Goreng had to sacrifice himself to prove his altruism to the administration?
Another thing that annoyed me. When they were on the 6th floor, why didnt those cacs help them up with the rope? They were at a level where the food spoils were BOUNTIFUL, so they could all eat good enough on the same floor.....though now that im writing this..why did the black guy even care about going up a higher floor if you needed to be in the program a certain number of days before they let you out?
Trimagasi stated that everyone above would pretty much have a "fukk you, got mine" attitude (look at what's happening now with resource-hogging because of the pandemic) it just got more desperate the lower the levels got

The ones eating good won't try to do shyt for no one else. It also seems like no one in the hole knew what they really were getting into but thought it was worth it for the reward, remember Goreng was a volunteer cause he wanted a degree. Baharat was smart enough to bring a rope in case he wanted to escape but didn't account for the savagery.
