So, in my life, I've realized that I've used drugs to help me out, to make life that much easier. shyt worked until I was 35, when the drugs caught up to me. I had to get detoxed off klonopin in a hospital. I've been off drugs since August of last year, and I'm still trying to get my groove back. I just seemed to be a better worker, artist, and person when I was doing drugs. Now, I'm left figuring out how to get back to that state without drugs.

I've seen the same thing with musicians. They were amazing when on drugs, but when off drugs they started to be terrible (eminem, RHCP, Lil Wayne, etc.). The only artist that was good high and not high is Gucci. How he did it, I'd like to know.

Anybody else having this problem? How did you resolve it?

What's exactly the problem

You OD'd or whatever off Xanax bro u not even doing hard drugs like Meth/Coke/Heroin lol
I never OD'd. I love hard drugs (coke, benzos and opiates, mainly). My life was good when taking drugs. Now my life sucks. I'm a boring person, I'm not as creative, and I'm super anxious. I feel that doing drugs led to a better life. The problem is, these drugs fukk you up physically. My body can't take them anymore. Because of that, my life has changed. I'm not sure if you can relate, but if you can, how did you get back to "normal?"

It's all in your mind. You just formed a habit and routine that you feel is necessary when it isn't. You need a new routine to offset that. Gucci got his girl as an inspiration and a need to switch his life up after being locked up. That can be enough for him. Kanye would play ball and work out before his recording sessions for MBDTF...

Talent or inspiration never comes from any substance all they are do is allow you to tap into things already present. Sometimes by blocking out your distractions and allowing you to feel free

Just. Retrace your steps
What do you mean? I've been doing drugs since I was 16 (I'm 35 now). Do you mean go back to when I was 16 and do shyt based on that? If so, I don't know how to think like a 16 year old. That was so long ago. I was super depressed and hated life from like 8-16. It was a horrible, horrible time. I tried to kill myself before I started using drugs. :mjcry:

Basically, my life was shyt until drugs. But too much of a good thing leads to health consequences. I just wanna live, sober. But I don't know how....:mjcry:

This is positive. Thanks for saying it. What do you mean by, new routine? I'm not really sure how to do that. I'm so broken now. Maybe it takes time? :jbhmm:

I dunno breh, I kinda want to get back to drugs. It's not healthy, but I hate my life now....:sigh:

What do you suggest?

What kind of artist are you?

You probably already know this but know is the time to hit the reset button.

If you love creating, then that desire will never stop. You’re in charge of your own energy and what makes you happy. Dig back into your creative roots, set goals, change your circle, change your perspective, meditate (for your anxiety), set aside time to create something new everyday.

Sounds like you just want to get high bro Why can't you do it in moderation and not to the point of harming yourself......

I don't really know what you're asking...

What do you mean by "active?" Like working out? Yeah, I do that. But I think you're talking about something else. If so, please enlighten me :feedme:

I can relate to you breh, im 31 and shyt was catching up with me too

Dont go back to drugs. Try new hobbies like working out and yoga. Learn breathing techniques to help you stay calm

Im struggling with liking my new identity too, but you have alot to be proud of breh. Your still here and addictions are like handcuffs. Your free, just try to enjoy life and appreciate the little things

Time to reboot your brain.... diet and exercise is so cliche but so real..... also, make some new associates..... that would be a start... and look into nootropics as well....

Yeah, I do wanna get high. But I know it's bad for me. I can't do drugs in moderation (at least looking at my past). So I wanna do drugs, but, at the same time, I know I shouldn't. So, I'm lost :manny:
