Reinstate Superfund taxes. The Environmental Protection Agency’s Superfund program, once largely funded by dedicated taxes, is now largely funded by general revenue. Having a stable source of funding, rather than relying on year-to-year appropriations, would help plan multi-year cleanup of hazardous chemical waste. The budget would reinstate the Superfund excise taxes that expired in 1995 in order to finance cleanup of hazardous waste.

This times a mili.

We need a progressive wave to be elected in 2014. Only way we'll get a budget like this passed. We need that public option. We need a reinvestment into our infrastructure. We need the middle class hemorrhage to stop. The next ten years needs to be focused on rebuilding this country.

simply won't happen

a progressive wave would split the democratic vote

this is one of the main causes of :fight: on the left

and it was the chief reason used by :obama: supporters to prevent people from voting for a third party

Sadly the only person to vote for this would be Dennis Kucinich and he isn't in Congress anymore.

Obama has taken alot of heat from the progressive side..

The repubs are in a state of flux..

Obama has the chance to start going a lil more left at this point..

Doubt he will though

1st Round Playoff Exits
This is definitely an interesting read, which certainly sounds great in theory, but seeing a plan like this being instilled in the near future is hard to grasp. "Radical" as it is, hypothetically changing of status quo of American lifestyle, by way of increasing "equality" won't be a simple task. At least not until this fiasco, of a grid locked congresses and money in politics are fixed. One take away from the Affordable Care Act, is how half-assed a bill can become from too much "compromise". In order to Implement a budget plan this game changing there would need to be actual "bipartisanship" among parties or a completely shut out of the opposition in both houses...

I remember reading not too long ago about how Prime Minister in other countries have about a 95% passage rate of legislation, which their party favors...

TBH I don't want either side to have a super majority.

I think the swaying from side to side has been extremely important to Americas success.

The word you're looking for is deadlock or failure.
