This is the return of Tony Jaa to the movies since The Ong Bak series was released and 9 years since the first protector. Alot of us look excited for the sequel to Jaa's best film to date but the sequel is no where near where it should be as far as a movie spent having having the original in theaters. This film will not get a theater date.
Here is the synopsis...it's pretty much where part one left off.
The film involves a martial artist named Kham (Tony Jaa) who refuses to sell his elephant Khon to the trader, Suchart Vilawandei (Adinan Buntanaporn) who plans on selling it to someone who works for the gangster LC (RZA). Khon. Kham later finds Vilawandei dead at his home in Bangkok, and his two nieces, martial artists Ping-ping (Yanin "Jeeja" Vismitananda) and Sue-sue (Theerada Kittiseriprasert), think he is responsible. While escaping from them, Kham meets his old friend Sergeant Mark (Mum Jokmok), who informs Kham about a terrorist plot to disrupt the Kantana peace talks in Bangkok.
Pros- The plot( terrible and stupid as it is) and the subplot connect to make sense. Tony Jaa speaks alot more in the sequel and the film is darker and less comedy with the Mum( Mark) character. A new bad-ass in martial arts cinema is fighting against Jaa who steals the show named Marrese Crump. He looks like a kung-fu Omar from the Wire. Also who steals the movie is Chocolate's own Yanin Jeeja Vismitananda

Cons- The movie doesn't really get good into 30 mins in. The first scenes of the movie are decent but it's the CGI 3-D work that kills this film. I do mean that. The wire-work is terrible and the CGI really makes the movie way too cartoonish. Some characters introduced are quickly shown and useless other times of the film that may have helped understand why they even existed. Rza is just goofy in this film.
6.5./10 Check it out for Marrese Crump vs Jaa and the Chocolate Girl. Watch it, it's not worth the buy.
