This is why local elections are so important. People only give a shyt about the presidential elections and treat it like any other reality TV show.
End of. Everyone is looking for solutions, asking "Why why why" and "Cac this, cac that." We have the goddamned blueprint laid out for us! Look at the other minority communities.
They may not agree on everything (though they seem far more communal that the black community presently) but they agree that they need to get the right people in locally
to serve them.
There is no excuse. We have black mayors and alderman and senators etc. They didn't just "appear" there in a token role. People voted them in! What tends to happen is people
vote, get pissed off because they are thinking too small, then get mad when politicians sell out and turn to someone else. If you aren't there to support them, they bail. If you
aren't there to give them shyt when they fukking up, they keep doing what they do. We have the power on the local level to toss everybody and start over, and local politicians can
get lit up when they do shyt wrong. The president? Congress? The Senate? They deal in national and international shyt, most of which effect us much less than your local guy.
Anyone who isn't going in on local level politics is part of the problem. Everybody else seem to understand that you have to back someone from beginning to end, why can't
we?
