All that does is prove that there is less variety on mainstream radio :manny:

Not that the quality of the music is actually worse :manny:

Record labels always pushed artists to chase trends and compete with other record labels artists.

Columbia Records heavily pushed Mariah Carey to compete with Whitney Houston and Madonna. Mariah Carey is an amazing singer, but some of her songs in the early 90s were actually criticized for their sound. And that's before the telecommunications.

Yeah.

I'm not saying things don't even get worse, but a large amount of the time people say this type of shyt, it usually is just them getting old.

There were people who HATED disco music in the 70s.

There were people who thought music was dead in the early 80s until Thriller came out.

Life is like that sometimes.
