The Reality is that Xbox One came out too early

Sounds like a bunch of excuses to me.

Ryse is the better looking game and according to standards set forth in this thread, that means the Xbox one is the stronger console.

You either have to go back and change the standards set forth earlier in this thread or you have to agree with that statement

Both games look great, I think it can be argued which one looks better but to act like one is clearly in a class of its own from the other is asinine. Also you are judging games at the beginning of a generation, when the PS3 and 360 can be judged based on their entire generation that has lasted years so I don't see how you can think the point you are trying to make is valid. Unless you think Ryse will be king of graphics on either platform until the end of the generation.

the ps4 is just that powerful

never the less, different games on the same engine can have very different performance

The screens I posted are in game and its not even debatable which game looks better.

None of the other stuff y'all keep bringing up matters when people claim the ps3 had the better looking exclusives, so why does all this extra stuff matter now?

No they are not. Not at all.

If TLOU is supposedly "leaps and bounds" better looking than Halo 4,

Then Ryse is lightyears ahead of infamous.

And the extra stuff is the talk about engines, resolution, timeframes and any other excuses y'all make, cause NONE of that matters when y'all claim the ps3 had the better looking games.

I know. I was trying to get clarification from @winb83 on what he meant by saying "let's not act like other Cryengine games won't eventually hit the PS4"

my point is different games running on the same engine can't be compared like that (and you seem to agree). if some Cryengine game(s) come out running at 1080p on the PS4, that says nothing about Ryse running at 900p on the X1
