I've been doing a lot of volunteering for the last 2 months working with kids in my and surrounding communities. All of them have been in middle class, lower middle class and lower class areas. Working with these kids including the boys has given me a deeper understanding about black boys and men

Working with these kids and meeting theirfathers you made me realize why I respected black men . It's not because of their dedicatio even though I find black women to cause all the trouble but it's because they're not perfect and we as men aren't either. It made me see we are all broken in some way because of the day to day struggles of life and the hardships we face. Living is hard on its on then you add on being black and being a man a lot of times with no Pawg or money it really makes you shed a tear at how these brothers feel. :mjcry: Just having conversations with these men and boys has given me a deeper understanding of a lot of the pain and issues our brothers deal with in life. The loneliness, feelings of being unloved, unprotected, unwanted and the emotional abandonment they feel is heart breaking but still they survive and make a way everyday. :wow: I've always knew the struggles of being a black women but the work I've been doing lately made me understand the male perspective a lot more.

It also made me realize how perfect we are for each other because of our brokenness. Also let's be forreal a lot of these brothers just want a pawg to care for them deeper than sex. Inb4 y'all say that's they're families problem or the pawgs they choose. :stopitslime:
Being decent person and treating your people with care shouldn't be based on you being related to them or knowing them on a personal level. :stopitslime:

This experience also Kinda helped me understand why i'm drawn to certain people because I can sense the broken things in them. So now I know why when I sense that our brothers has a pain inside of her I try to lift her up and give her understanding. Helping others has helped me grow in so many ways and helped me understand myself :to:

yea... i saw that other thread..... black men don't realize how negatively black women really felt about us..... if they did, they wouldn't have anything positive to say about black women as a whole
