I don't want to see some U.S. Constitution stomping liberal (most are) nominated to the Supreme Court, but if they don't let a 63 year old Garland through with the nomination, they are risking Shilary nominating a bunch of 40 year old liberal jokes to the Supreme Court, and that will be FAR worse than any Obama nomination he could make right now.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 83 and still ticking. Unless Obama nominated a 90 year old or something , it makes more sense for the Republicans to hold the line.

The republican establishment will make peace with Trump. A confirmation for the Obama nom would enrage the base even more and drive them to the polls to vote for Trump. Trump says vote for Republican Senators "I'll keep them in line and show them who's boss we need to control the Senate, yada yada". Every one wins, its the art of the deal.
